Enjoying the easter über-dump in the swiss alps.

Interesting contest format up at Seiser Alm in Italy: All riders needed to do is spinning, sticking clean and cashing in. They had to start with a 180 to cash in EUR 180. Full rotation was paid with EUR 360 and so forth … Unfortunately the finals had been canceled due to the bad weather on day II. Stefan Falkeis (picture) was just about to do a 14-hundred to save some cash for his flat. Too bad … next year !

A.R.C. artist Luis De Dios is currently getting ready for the 2009/10 board and ski graphics. Not sure whether we will have tap-nipples on our shred sleds next year, but our art endorphines are in the mixer …

… and singer of the band THE AIMLESS doesn’t only have a new vintage Les Paul guitar. Apart from some new off axis rodeo variations he’s got also some new songs to listen. For being “aimless” these guys got lots of “new” stuff nailed down.

On my way to the Hospital. 

During an O’Neill shoot catskiing close to Pemberton / BC Canada I tore my ACL and my mesniscus, broke my Tibia and got an impression fracture on my femur doing a big cliffdrop in the backcountry… however, all got repaired 4 days ago by one the best knee-docs. Now I am recovering on my couch in Innsbruck on painkillers looking up the mountains where there is heaps of fresh powder. I hope all my friends are enjoying it …

Tignes, France, Saturday 8 March 2008 – On a perfect day, 43 of the world’s best freeriders delivered top class action on the north face of Pramecou for the Nissan Freeride de Tignes, the fourth contest of the Freeride World Tour. In fast compact, snow, the astounded spectators witnessed impressive speed and riders stomping some spectacular cliff drops. Now, only one contest remains to crown the first ever Freeride World Champions, at the Nissan O’Neill Xtreme de Verbier in Switzerland next weekend.

LAAX, SUI – March 15th 2008 – The 3rd Orage European Freeski Open by Swatch 2008 with a total prizemoney of US$ 60.000 ended with a masterpiece of Virginie Faivre in LAAX: the 25 year old Swiss girl won the slopestyle contest on the Crap Sogn Gion mountain for the 3rd time in a row. The 17 year old Australian Russell Henshaw celebrated the victory in the men´s competition.
