Attention all chicks: Sexsymbol and ambush rider Sam Strauss from Austria has got his own billboards, posters, autograph sheets … you name it ! Everything it takes to turn a rockstar into a real rockstar. Where you can get that stuff ? Wherever they carry Zuckerhut, his clothing sponsor.
Yes, it’s snowing. Still. Which means even more workload for the Schneestern shape team. At least they got easy access to their parks now: The entire crew is on Amplid shreds, for a better living, for a better kicker testing.
Schneestern has been building kickers and rails for the Air & Style, the Red Bull Stairway To Heaven, Kaunertal Opening and many more events in Europe.
Verbier, the ski resort in the Valais region, hosted the Nissan Xtreme grand finale of the Freeride World Tour 2009 on the mythical Bec des Rosses North face with a summit at 3222 meters altitude. Thanks to the great snow conditions this winter, the competition scheduled for Saturday, March 21 was a spectacular show.
After the three Freeride World Tour stops in Sochi, Russia, Squaw Valley, USA and Tignes, France, only the top eight men and three women were qualified in each category. They will be joined by several ‘Wild Cards’ as well as the winners from the Nendaz Freeride, Freeride World Qualifier and sister event to the Nissan Xtreme – Verbier.
A.R.C. rider Bibi Pekarek had a great come back after her break for almost one year and finished second in the steep and gnarly face of famous Bec.
“I have spent the last 3 or 4 months on the road and I try to be traveling all the time. This vid is of some footage I’m filming for my Stept Productions ‘09 movie. I love road tripping and camping in my mini van, cheapest way to do whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want to do it. Enjoy and check out our website, steptproductions.com. I was supposed to have someone traveling with me the whole time but I wound up going it alone so I just met up with people and did most of the filming and everything else myself. I recommend everyone get in their car and drive somewhere sweet to ski, its real fun, especially when your not filming.”
Ambush rider Ruggero Naccari is moving on the World Rookie List. Check out the full story of the Rookie Fest in Spindleruv and the current ranking list HERE …

A.R.C. rider Bibi Pekarek is back on track and on her way to Verbier. Bibi had a break due to a bad knee injury last season which occured during a photoshoot for her clothing sponsor O’Neill.
“I feel really strong again” Bibi sais, “I trained a lot with my homegrown Paradigma splitboard, rode lots of steeps, so I am looking forward to riding the Verbier contest face !”
The mix of sunshine with heavy snowfall, sticky spring slush and lots of traversing to get from one obstacle to the next made the life hard for the competitors at the Europecup in Sillian, Austria.
But A.R.C. member Stefan Falkeis seemed to have HIS day: A perfect Cab 9 over the first kicker, a huge backside air and a BS5, combined with all kinds of bonks, nose- and tailpresses over the picknick-table, boxes and rails.
“I’m really stoked for my results of the past months. Thinking that pipe is my speciality, it looks like I am not that bad in park. Plus having victories both on the TTR and on the FIS tour opens possibilities for upcoming contests on both sides!”.
After a relaxed shred session at the local Spitzing Park in the bavarian alps, the Amplid Research Cartel went straight to Munich to sign autographs for tons of fans.

The weekend continues successfully for the Amplid Research Cartel and the Antidogma: Wallisch was once more dominating the Big Air format with a very stylish cork7 and a nice “late” switch5shifty. French shooting star and Amplid rider Xavier Favre ended up 2nd with an awesome cork7.
