It’s a foggy day in London town … well not only: Austrian ARC scientists Harry Juen and Jürgen Nigg have spent the last couple of days up at the Dachstein Glacier, testing Amplid’s new Provoke true twin skis. It’s quite easy: If the edge isn’t worn out after approx. 500 miles of rail grinding, that construction is ready for production. Harry and Jürgen did a good job, even though the weather sucked, the mileage bonus went on their tab. And their Provokes still look almost new.

Taste is subjectiv. And so is style. Hopefully that style had its right of existence in its days. Austrian railmaster Harry Jay and his drinking mate, celebrating the end of the season, by sacrificing their livers to the goddess of snow for a better 2012/13 powder season.

Here comes the badest crew, bad as bad can be: Felix Althammer, Teammanager Harald Juen (green jacket), new team entry Jürgen Nigg, Christian Graf and Andi Nitsche after their photoshoot in O’gau, bavarian alpes. Harry has been convincing austrian photographer Felix Pirker to freeze those guys on his smart cards. The result of the photoshoot you can watch right HERE !

While others need saltwater and sand for a change,  Harry’s unbroken motivation follows the winter to the southern hemisphere. Warming up on a quiet early morning rail in NZ.

“PRO” = when you get bucks for tricks. Harry did. Whether as a judge or a rider. 5 euros per sticked trick is pretty good, thinking how many tricks one sticks over one season.

ARC rider Harry Juen must have either smoked some bad ass herb, or he is deeply in love … however this shot has been voted “MOST ROMANTIC PHOTO” within this blog. It might have also been a depression due to the bad surf in the background.

Before winter’s over, we gonna rock the Alps like they deserve it! Thus, the program of the Oberland Open 2010 at the Snowpark Fiss Ladis on the 27th of March 2010 features both freeskiers and snowboarders and this time, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is searching for the real allround talent! All motivated freestylers are invited to present their skills of kicker jumping and rail sliding and try to win the generous prize money of EUR 3000,- Under the motto “a high quality slopestyle contest including a fresh kicker and a tasty rail”. As a round-off the celebration of a great day, a contest winner and the arrival of spring will continue at 21 o’clock at the After Contest Party with DJ Beestyle at the Hackl’s Kaller.
