Der Kampf um die Österreichische Halfpipe Krone bei den Shred Down Austrian Masters 2011 auf der Innsbrucker Nordkette ist geschlagen. Der neunzehn jährige Mathias Weissenbacher setzte sich in einem hochkarätigen Starterfeld erfolgreich durch. Der Spaß stand im Vordergrund, doch galt es für die Fahrerinnen und Fahrer auch den Titel des österreichischen Halfpipe-Meisters bei den offiziellen österreichischen Snowboard-Freestyle Meisterschaften nach Hause zu holen. Bei strahlend blauem Himmel sahen die Zuschauer auf der Nordkette Snowboardsport auf höchstem internationalem Niveau.

Der Salzburger Mathias Weissenbacher wurde vor dem Sieger der letzten beiden Jahre Stefan Falkeis (AMPLID) und dem Innsbrucker Wolfgang „Wolle“ Beer Österreichischer Halfpipe-Meister.

Der Innsbrucker Johannes Handle (AMPLID) konnte sich bei den Rookies mit einem beeindruckenden Run durchsetzen. (more…)

Actually he got unscrewed: After his ankle surgerey a couple months ago he finally got the heavy metal removed, and will be back on track in a few weeks, ready for 2010/11 !
